Batman Goes to the Caribbean

Before I left for the Caribbean I talked to Kyle and explained that mom was going to go on a trip and that he got to stay with his dad while I was gone. I showed him pictures of the boat I was going to go on, and a few of the places I was going to see. And like any typical 3 year old the first thing he said was "Can I go?"

I told him "well buddy, you won't fit in my suitcase" at that point he tried to challenge me and assure me that he could fit, so that was not a good approach to take. Thinking fast I said, "how about I take Batman with me; and take pictures of your Batman on the big boat?"

He was not as happy with the idea but he agreed. So here is the saga of Batman’s trip to the Western Caribbean.

Batman waits for his plane at the Salt Lake City Airport.
Batman leaves Salt Lake City on his way.. he is so excited! But sad to leave Kyle behind.

Batman passes the time on the plane by watching NFL playoffs.

Batman arrived in Miami Florida after midnight, it was very cold, and he was tired. When Batman discovering that there was only one bed in our hotel room he was not happy. Good thing Randy was able to find another room for him so that he would not have to share a bed with Tracy and Randy. Aaahh.. time for bed.
The ship arrived 3 hours late into port, causing a back up at check in. After waiting for a long time it was nice to get on the ship and have lunch. Batman loved his fish and chips.
Batman and Randy hanging out; waiting for the boat safety drill so we can leave port.
Batman has a fear of Dolphins so he skipped the Dolphin Swim at Grand Cayman. Tracy, Randy and Lore had a good time, even though the water was 60 degrees!
Batman sure did enjoy his Nachos at Margaritaville. In Roatan Batman had a relaxing day on the beach and enjoyed learning how to snorkel. It was like swimming in an aquarium there ware so many fish!
Batman did not want to leave Tabyana, the time went by so quickly.
Batman had to loosen his belt when he got home because dinner on the ship was very delicious every night; always starting with more than one appetizer and ending with amazing dessert.
Batman thought that the towel animals that were left on the bed each night were there to see him. Here you see Batman trying to pick up on the sexy bunny.
Batman and sexy bunny were having far to much fun to get off the ship the next day in Belize, so Randy, Tracy and Lore all went to the world’s 2nd largest Great Barrier Reef to go snorkeling without him. The catamaran ride was extremely entertaining for them.
Batman stayed on the boat on day 7 in Cozumel. Randy went golfing.
Tracy and Lore went to the Mayan ruins of Tulum.
Meanwhile back on the boat Batman was catching some rays on the deck.
Time to set sail back to Miami.
Randy, Tracy and Batman checking out their Sign and Sail Card totals. Randy looks shocked!
Batman hung out with Randy a little too much and had a few too many drinks.
Most nights around midnight Batman had a snack, always the same thing: French fries, cookies…
And Pizza!
Batman was sad disembarking in Florida,
he had a great time and was not ready for it to be over.
Tracy and Batman were not happy with the long lines at customs.

Lore, Tracy and Randy all wore their new neck pillows and slept on the way home. Batman did not have a neck pillow and did not want to be in the picture. Batman on the plane in Atlanta, Yea- almost home. Batman home with Kyle after a very fun trip. The End
